September 5th, Nature Journaling Continued.....
- If you have not yet done so, use the first page in your journal to create a checklist/reminder of what to include in all journal entries [paste in my instructions].
- We will be going outside to do your fist journal entry. Bring your instructions with. Find a spot along or inside the ravine behind school. You should be alone, with a minimum of 20 feet between you and the next person.
- Produce a scientific journal entry on your observations of the ravine environment today following the format we have discussed.
- Peer reviews and assessment [in class].
- Ecoplot Investigation Introduction
Homework = A) Establish your plot, B) Site Analysis ( make your first ecoplot journal entry, prepare your map, take your initial photos) C) collect your soil for Mondays Lab Work

Agenda:
~ A soils sample from your Ecoplot
~ Your initial photos of your Ecoplot and site your site analysis
~ A start to creating a map of your plot using google maps
Agenda:
- Please do this to begin today. I would like you to create a Google folder for this class and give me access to it. Title the folder with your first and last name followed by Env Science. For example: Jack Beenimble Env Science. In the class folder create an additional folder called Ecoplot Documents.
- Ecoplot Investigation Introduction. Open this document and immediately make a copy for yourself.
- Complete the Ecoplot Investigation Introduction. Follow my lead.
- Outside to demonstrate how to collect a soil sample and establish a plot.
- By Monday You need the following:
~ A soils sample from your Ecoplot
~ Your initial photos of your Ecoplot and site your site analysis
~ A start to creating a map of your plot using google maps
